Professional Background

Mike Wyse is the Managing Partner of Wyse Advisors LLC, in New York. He has 20+ years of leadership experience spanning a variety of industries. Mike specializes in providing streamlined solutions to complex problems. Whether it is advising his clients, running companies or sitting on Boards of financially challenged companies, Mike’s experience and vast network allows for getting to a solution in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

Having sat in every possible seat in these types of situations (Advisor, CRO, C-Level Management, Independent Director, Banker, Investor, Liquidator), Mike brings a truly unique and unmatched perspective. Most recently, Mike has served as CRO / CFO / Investment Banker to The Original Soupman, CEO / CRO of Ensequence, CRO of Strand Genomics, and CRO and Independent Director of numerous private situations. Mike has served in various high-profile roles, including serving as Expert Witness in the Sears Bankruptcy. Previously Mike invested in Distressed Companies, with numerous successes through his Good Co / Bad Co strategy, while at Great American Group.  The strategy involved teaming up with a “healthy investor” to purchase the assets of a financially challenged company, with the “good” assets acquired by the healthy investor and Mike would deal with those deemed not part of the “go-forward” plan.  Mike’s experience spans the globe.

Mike holds a combined BBA / MBA with a concentration in Accounting from St Bonaventure University. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.  Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of One Aviation, The Buckingham and JDN.

Professional Background

Rob Peterson is a Managing Director at Wyse Advisors LLC, in New York. Rob has over 25 years of diverse business experience from public accounting through global corporate strategy, sales and partnership development. There are few industries which Rob has not touched with experience including Government Contracting, Healthcare, Banking, and Manufacturing. Rob has maintained leadership roles in both small start ups and large corporate environments.  Historically a technology focus in telecom Rob has created value in Managed Network Service, Mobility and Security based companies.  From his early career, Rob has created calm in very chaotic environments with a focus toward efficiencies and growth including being named as a “100 Heroes” while MCI was going through one of the largest bankruptcies in history.  His two year assignment in Tokyo as Regional VP of Asia for Verizon included one of his most challenging, yet rewarding, global experiences by managing his team through the Great Tsunami and aftermath in 2011. Through it all, he maintained a steady hand and focus enabling growth of the company by 100% in two years. 

Rob has led large global organizations in companies such as Verizon, MCI and British Telecom.  Recently bringing that experience into smaller companies such as TenFour / Alliant where he was brought in to both stabilize the revenue and lead through a bankruptcy event and asset sale. At Acuative where he successfully led the way through the integration of the TenFour / Alliant assets for 12 months. 

 

Rob brings his diverse background to provide a true business leader’s perspective with a focus on operational efficiencies, value creation, customer experience and employee culture.

Professional Background

Josh Gatlin is a Director at Wyse Advisors, with over eight years of restructuring, investment banking and operational experience. At Wyse Advisors, Josh helps run the execution of restructuring, M&A advisory, capital raising, and liquidation assignments.

Prior to Wyse Advisors, Josh was a Senior Associate at Asgard Partners, where he focused primarily on restructurings and debt / equity capital raises. During his time there he worked on multiple debtor side restructuring engagements, including  being the primary resource for Avadim Health’s pre-bankruptcy reorganization. Josh also worked in operations for two years while serving as President for a fast-growing Pilates franchise, where he helped build out the corporate marketing, financial controls, and franchise sales efforts.

Josh started his career at Vaquero Capital, where he focused primarily on M&A and capital raising assignments within the software and internet spaces. During his time there, he executed 5+ growth equity transactions from inception to financial close.

Josh holds a B.B.A in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and also holds Series 7, Series 63, and Series 82 licenses.

Cole Celenza is a Senior Associate at Wyse Advisors, with over two years working as a corporate valuation advisor. At Wyse Advisors, Cole assists in the execution of restructuring, M&A advisory , and asset sale engagements.

 

At Wyse Advisors, Cole supported the sale of a Texas-based sushi restaurant group and a prominent national Italian-style restaurant chain. He also played an integral role in the operational and financial assessment of a consortium of senior living facilities operated by a 501(c)(3) organization. At Wyse Advisors, he played an integral role in the operational and financial assessment of a consortium of senior living facilities operated by a 501(c)(3) organization.

Prior to Wyse Advisors, Cole focused primarily on the valuation of privately-held debt, equity, and business enterprises for financial reporting and tax purposes across a variety of industries. Cole performed solvency and fairness opinions in support of mergers, acquisitions, and dividend recapitalizations of multi-billion-dollar enterprises. He also conducted mark-to-market valuations of middle-market private equity firms’ investments in companies ranging from the pre-IPO to late-stage growth phase.

Cole holds a B.S. in Business Studies from Stockton University.

At Orox Capital Management LLC, Brennan conducted financial analysis & reporting for distressed portfolio companies across numerous industries.

Prior to Wyse Advisors, Jainee worked at Atento Capital, a private equity buy-side firm where she focused primarily on origination, screening and financial analysis of lower middle market opportunities. As an Equity Research Analyst at a fund with an AUM of $1.6M, she gained experience in conducting quantitative research and valuations across the public equity market.


Jainee holds a Masters in Quantitative Finance from Northeastern University and Bachelors in Business Management Studies (Finance) from the University of Mumbai.

Prior to Wyse Advisors, Mike was a Corporate Development Analyst at Busy Bees North America, a subsidiary of one of the largest global daycare operators, where he focused on acquisitions in the United States.  He also worked with external consulting and lobbying firms to analyze U.S. legislative policy and potential impacts to daycare operators. Mike’s banking background includes aiding in the development of stress tests, derivates hedging, and cash flow management.  He also spent 3 years in corporate strategy with a fast-growing healthcare company, focusing on increasing market share, marketing, and improving operational functions.

 

Mike holds a B.S. in Economics from Niagara University and is completing a M.S. of Economics.

Lorenzo “Enzo” Mizerek is an Analyst Intern at Wyse Advisors with experience in economic research and municipal budget oversight. At Wyse Advisors, Enzo assists Senior Associates in the execution of restructuring engagements.  

Prior to Wyse Advisors, Enzo collaborated with consulting professionals on the Investment Advisory Council for the municipality of Westfield, New Jersey, on projects such as real estate PILOT evaluations and shared service contracts. He recently concluded his first year at Colgate University, earning the Dean’s Award with Distinction and re-election as the Class of 2025 President.  

Enzo is currently pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Colgate University.
